Calculating the area for a Square is the simplest, get the overall width and the overall height of the square, multiply the two and the result is the area for the Square.

Calculating the area for a Triangle is done by getting the overall width and the overall height of the triangle, multiply the two and divide by half and the result is the area for the Triangle.

The area of shape can be determined by simply breaking the shape into sets of square, rectangles or triangles. Find the individual areas and add them to give you the total area of the Shape.

We recommend spraying weeds in any existing lawn with Glyphosate (Round Up) at least 7 days before laying your new lawn.
Be sure to read and follow directions before using any sprays.

Remove existing lawn, weeds, rocks, debris and obstructions.

Aerate existing soil if suitable with a Rotary Hoe. However if existing soil isn't suitable add 2 inches of "Turf Underlay" from any local landscape supplier.
The final height of your soil should be at least 3 centimetres below paths and driveways, to ensure your turf is a level fit. Your yard may be sloping which is fine, however you must ensure it is level as to encourage proper growth of your turf.

Turf is a living organism and should be laid as soon as possible. NO LATER THAN 24HRS FROM DELIVERY. When laying your turf start from a straight edge on the outside perimeter and work your way in towards the centre using a bricklaying pattern. To cut your turf, use a sharp knife or spade. Be sure to have all edges as tight against each other as possible to ensure there are no gaps in turf. We can lay this for you at a small fee.

For the first 4 weeks you can not water your lawn enough. This step is crucial to the quality and survival of your lawn.
Water your lawn within 30 minutes of laying soaking to a depth of 8cm. Keep moist until turf is established (Turf cannot be lifted from soil easily)

Do not mow turf until it is fully established. Never mow any less than 3cm. Always keep your mower blades sharp.

Fertilise lawn every Spring and Autumn to ensure lawn stays thick and healthy. Always water fertiliser in as soon as possible.
